Gallery, gallery, gallery, gallery, MUSEUM!
This has been the year of the gallery for me. I've been in several shows already and have several more lined up. Two shows opened this weekend--one in San Francisco and one in Amsterdam. The lineup for the show in Amsterdam is especially incredible--Yoshitomo Nara, Ryan McGinness, KAWS, Thomas Campbell, Tim Biskup, Geoff McFetridge, Jim Houser...
Beyond that, I'm in a great group show in Brooklyn that was put together by Process, a show in Tokyo presented by the Megane zine, and in late June, I'm in my first museum show at the MADRE Museum of Contemporary Art in Naples, Italy. Needless to say, I'm quite excited (and perfectly freaked out). I've been posting progress photos to Twitter from time to time @LeDouxville.

ONE BUSY MARCH!!!
This month is action packed!
First off, I have six pieces in the Manifest Equality show in Los Angeles. Then, I have one piece a small group show at Flatcolor Gallery in Seattle. And third, I'll have a booth at the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle. I decided to make some new shirts on a whim. They will be released at the Emerald City Comicon, and available on my site shortly thereafter. Stay tuned!
Once the dust clears from those three, I'll need to get to work on some new pieces for an upcoming show at Giant Robot in NYC.
If you're one of those Twitter sorts of folks, follow me! If things are slow at the Comicon, I just might have to do a livetweet about all the Spidermen in polarfleece and/or Stormtroopers wearing socks with sandals. Oh, Northwest fashion. You never fail to amaze me.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
To simplify your gift giving, the LeDouxville store is open and eagerly taking your hard earned money. A few things worth mentioning:
NEW PRINT! Deconstructed Masters.
NEW TOY! The Assistant for Cosmic Perception from Jamungo's BUD Series 3
LOW STOCK! Masters of Balance and Travels
Get them all here.
Also, although my show in Chicago has now closed, some of the work is still available at the Rotofugi Gallery.
There are also a couple quickie pieces I did over the summer available from the Flatcolor Gallery in Seattle.
The final bit of news is the recent series of prints I did with Tiny Showcase has sold out from their site (but I miiiiiiiiiiiiiight have a couple extra copies if you ask nicely).

EXIT STRATEGY
My show at Rotofugi Gallery in Chicago is just days away from opening. It's called Exit Strategy and features 25 new gouache and ink drawings and a new screen print (my most challenging yet). I have a few surprises planned for the show, so if you're anywhere near Chicago on November 13, please stop by. It'll be a lot of fun. www.rotofugi.com
And for you Californians, keep your eyes open for the Convenience Store Tour poster I recently did for the California Lottery. I'm willing to bet it'll be the only hot dog singer / cheesy nacho bassist / slurpee drummer you'll see on a poster this year.

BUMBERSHOOT!
It's Bumbershoot weekend here in Seattle, which means one thing: FLATSTOCK! I'll have a booth where I'll be releasing two new prints. Stop by and say hello!
And before you head to the festivities, be sure to grab a copy of this week's Seattle Weekly. Their Bumbershoot guide will help you navigate the festivities, and the cover art ain't half bad either!

UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE, LeDOOF!!!!!
Holy moly! My deepest apologies to all you internet warriors whose REFRESH finger has since worn to the bone waiting for me to update my site. I've been busy moving back to Seattle. Yes indeed, Rain City, here I am again.
Because of the move, I've temporarily shuttered the doors and windows of my online store while I work on building LeDouxville West. If you are unable to wait and have some $ERIOU$ CA$H burning a hole in your pocket, drop me a line. Otherwise, it's looking like my booth at Flatstock 22 at Bumbershoot this year might be a convenient time to open up shop again.
In the meantime, my dear Tiny Showcase friends (whom I've regrettably ditched back in ye olde Rhode Island) will be releasing a new print of mine TODAY! I'm pretty happy with it. Hope you dig it too.

TO-DO LISTS
Things are settling back down after my trip to SXSW in Austin. Flatstock 20 was great! Saw some old friends and sold some stuff. I should have brought twice as many Critter Splitters as I blew out of my stock on hand in two days. Same with T-shirts. Completely sold out of one design and just a couple XLs on the other left.
Since I've been back, I wrapped up my work for my showcase next month at Outré Gallery in Melbourne, Australia. Now that it's all packaged up and shipped off to the opposite corner of the globe, I'm focusing on a few posters for some upcoming concerts/shows/events that will be available through Patent Pending in the not-so-distant future.
And for the present...NEW PRINTS!!! They're now available in the store. Get them now.

EVENTS!
I just finished the shirt design for Thomas Campbell's new surfing film tour. The L.A. premiere is tomorrow, March 10 at at Nike Sportswear’s Cinema Tuesday at the Montalban Theatre. There will be a Q&A with Thomas. Ray Barbee and the Mattson 2 will be playing. The art show will feature work from Thomas, Kyle Field, Evan Hecox, Steve Keene, Alex Kopps, Serena Mitnik-Miller, Nathaniel Russell, and me (if FedEx didn’t lose my HUGE 24” x 36” screen prints). I saw bits of the film as he was editing it and have no doubt that it’ll be incredible. If you want to go, RSVP here. To see other dates on the tour, go here.
Also, I’ll be judging the 2009 ‘Cut & Paste’ design competition in Boston this Saturday. For more information, go here.
Lastly, I'll have a booth at this year's Flatstock at SXSW. If you'll be in Austin for the festivities, please come by and say hello.

2009
With the exception of a couple friends dubbing it '200HATE,' I thought 2008 was a great year. I had a couple notable art shows (the installation at the University of Maryland and my show at Sunshine Studio in Tokyo) worked with a ton of great folks (Target, Disney, Kidrobot, Weiden + Kennedy London, and Giro), and best of all, I spent all but a couple months of it in Japan. 2009 has some big shoes to fill.....
HOWEVER, a new year means new news.
Sign up on my mailing list to be sure you're the first to hear about it all. Not only will I be releasing some new prints INCREDIBLY soon, but mailing list folks will also get first scoop on some other upcoming treats. It's that little box down there. Do it. Or don't, and start your year with regret. Your call.
